Science starts with curiosity.

46 North Science Initiative connects people with astronomy, citizen science, youth science research opportunities, conservation, and shared science resources from the Northwoods.

Welcome

A public home for science, learning, and discovery.

We are building a hub to connect the Northwoods community with science programs where students, families, educators, volunteers, researchers, and community partners can take part in real observation, real data, and real discovery.

What we are building

46 North Science Initiative brings together public astronomy, youth science research opportunities, citizen science, conservation-based learning, and shared science archives under one clear public identity.

Some projects are active now. Others are developing in phases as partners, sites, equipment, volunteers, and funding come together.

What donations support

Donations help move the initiative from idea to impact: public programs, youth access, equipment, outreach materials, archive tools, site planning, and the long-term vision for a science-centered community resource.

Processing costs: PayPal charges us a small processing fee. Adding about 2% more to your gift, if you choose, helps offset this cost so more of your donation supports the work.

Larger gifts: For larger gifts of $500 or more, please contact us at info@46north.science before donating if you would like to discuss other giving options or specific program support.

Tax note: Please contact a tax professional to discuss donations to nonprofit organizations. EIN: 99-5145645.
